The terrific forces of the cosmos
Roiling and twisting
Into tortuous distorted expressions
Of everything we have never known.

Secrets founded on unclean concepts
So fortified in facsimiles of reality
And false faces of our own mentality
That a glimpse can shatter ones soul.

And after long in the void,
The silence begins to whisper
Darkness into your ears
And pain into your heart.

You stand shocked in the face
Of truth undiluted.
It scars your mind,
Driving you to sanities end.

Twisting and writing, your sanity fails.
You shudder and scream obscenities
In the languages of dead gods.
You feel the ages and the epochs and eternity.

You are eternity.

You are too much to handle,
To much to fear or to rationalize,
And indeed all rationality has left you.
You witness the birth and death of god!

You shudder in anticipation at the sights of all that is past
All that is now and all that will come to be
In the cosmic void
The land beyond logic.

Your eyes melt, overloaded by stimulus
Of apocalypse upon genesis,
Genesis upon civilization,
And the cycle beginning anew again and again!

You can’t stand it any further,
Each universe flashing and flickering before your eyes blinds you,
And you fall to the ground weeping.
You are broken.
Lying there shuddering, tears of blood
And wisdom pouring from your bloodshot eyes,
You realize what it means to know.
You realize what it means to be.

Eternity is more than you can handle,
And that is as it should be.

I like it. I wrote it in a burst of inspiration contemplating how sometimes knowing hurts.

Lovely. Well captured.
Wow that was long... not bad though. Personally, I prefer your shorter writings.
